What Happens During the Examination?

The examination begins when our orthodontic staff take digital photographs of the patient’s teeth and face. They print the photos during the examination. When you start the treatment, we create a private webpage for your photos and treatment progress at www.drbakerortho.com.

Dr. Baker then gives you the following advise to answer your questions:

  • What are the facial and dental findings from the photographs?
  • Is there is a need for orthodontic treatment?
  • What is the optimal timing for orthodontic treatment in a growing child?
  • When and how should we address these problems?
  • What is the length of treatment time?
  • What are the costs for this treatment?
  • Are there options to this recommended treatment?

Please be assured, this examination does not involve any discomfort!

What's Next?

If treatment is recommended, then development of a precise program, designed around your individual needs, will require a more thorough evaluation involving the following appointments:

Orthodontic X-Rays

We will give you a prescription for the necessary x-rays to be taken at an x-ray center where specialists use state of the art equipment and techniques. The cost is very low and the quality of the x-rays easily allow us to scan them into our computer.

Orthodontic Records
(Study Models)

At our office, we will take impressions of the teeth so that study models can be made to aid the doctor in diagnostic evaluation. If you desire to save time, the study models may be taken at your examination appointment.
